On Thursday, Korean manufacturer Samsung announced that would buy US cloud services company Joyent, based in San Francisco, for an undisclosed sum. The 11-year-old company will retain its name and top managment, but it will be integrated into Samsung’s mobile division, and reportedly help the rival smartphone maker offer its own cloud services.
